A trend is emerging among young African footballers who are choosing to try their luck in the United States.

For several years now, a growing number of young African talents have been turning to the United States to pursue their football careers.

While Europe remains the preferred target, North America is establishing itself as a viable alternative, notably thanks to academies and university structures that attract players in search of opportunities.

The example of Ivorian Yan Diomandé, spotted at the World Cup, illustrates this new trend where teenagers from Senegal, Congo, or Cameroon hope to join professional ranks through American infrastructures.
